Snowmobile Trail Reports – Northern Michigan and the U.P.
January 6, 2025 – 6:00 pm update: – MONDAY EVENING – The good news is that we will have cold temperatures lasting through next weekend with low in the teens and single digits and highs generally in the 20s. This should help firm up the base and allow the groomers to do their thing. The not-as-good news is that we still need more snow everywhere. The forecast for this week is light to moderate lake effect snow, so this should help. Hopefully more snow will fall than what is in the forecast. The snow belts of the Upper Peninsula are faring best right now and moderate snow during the week should keep them in decent shape. The snow belts of Northern Lower Michigan really need a good dumping of snow to get them back into shape. You can find some limited riding in the snow belts west of Gaylord. Stay tuned…
